Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts:
Days or Nights

• Every other weekend requirement

• Holiday requirement negotiable

• Patient ratios:
Maximum 1 RN to 4-5 patients on days, 1 RN to 5 patients on nights

• 19-bed medical-surgical unit with excellent staffing ratios

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS

• Oregon nursing license required (can apply for OR 90 Day Emergency License)

• General medical-surgical experience required, may include general pediatric patients

• Common patient diagnoses include CHF, diabetic complications, pneumonia, COPD exacerbations, hip fractures, and post-operative patients

• Infrequent drip titration including Heparin and Bumex

• Unit orientation: 3-6 shifts, longer if needed

• Floating requirements: assist as "helping hands" if not fully cross-trained

• Low census call requirement: report within 30 minutes if called

• Navy blue scrubs required

• MEDITECH charting system

• BSN not required

• Acute care setting
