Responsible for operating the laundry room, ensuring a ready supply of towels and linens.

• Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
• Accepts soiled linens from room attendants/utility staff for cleaning.
• Load washers with soiled linen and cleaning solution as directed.
• transfer the washed linen to the dryers once the wash is complete.
• Promptly fold dry linen, stacking neatly for room distribution.
• For extra soiled, torn, or damaged supplies, report and record loss to the supervisor to discard as directed.
• Maintain accurate records of the daily count of loads of washed and dried linen; damaged linen; soap; and chemicals used.
• Complete monthly inventory reports as directed.
• Maintains cleaning equipment, wiping down machinery daily, and reporting malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Ensure that equipment, tools, and materials are operated safely.
• Promotes a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests. Promptly reports all concerns to the supervisor.
• Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
• Promote internal guest service through courteous and respectful behavior.
• Other related functions as directed.

• Guest rooms as needed.

• Experience with cleaning procedures and materials.
• Functionally literate: needs to read and follow written chemical, safety, and warning labels.
• Need to Bend, lift, stand, and/or walk for long periods; perform repetitive motions with arms, wrists, hands, and fingers; work in an enclosed, extremely warm environment; lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
• Effective communication skills - verbally provide instruction and respond to questions.
• Flexible schedule: to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
• Requires a criminal history background check.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• High School Diploma or GED or ten years’ experience.
• Knowledge and experience with operating laundry equipment - washers, dryers, and irons.
• Customer service experience.
