Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Chaplain provides compassionate emotional and spiritual support to patients, families, and hospital staff as a valued member of the Spiritual Care Resources Team. Through skilled pastoral care services, this role supports individuals and families during times of illness, injury, grief, and transition, offering presence, comfort, and guidance when it is needed most.
Job Requirements- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Theology, Behavioral Science, Ministry, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Healthcare Chaplain in a hospital and/or long‑term care setting (upon hire).
- Completion of, or active enrollment in, Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) (upon hire).
- Board certification or equivalent credentials accepted upon hire, including:
- Board Certified Chaplain (APC or BCC)
- Certified Supervisor of Clinical Pastoral Education
- Catholic Chaplain
- Jewish Chaplain (BCC)
- Canadian Spiritual Care Certification
