UAS Range Operations Specialist 1, 2, or 3

The City of Pendleton is seeking a full-time UAS Range Operations Specialist to assist with daily operations and long‑term development at one of the most active UAS test sites in America. The Pendleton UAS Range (PUR) supports commercial and defense flight testing within 14,000 square miles of FAA‑approved airspace and has facilitated over 65,000 UAS operations since 2014.

This position is ideal for individuals passionate about UAS technology and interested in gaining hands‑on experience in range operations and airspace management. You will collaborate with engineers, pilots, and other team members to maintain a safe, efficient, and professional range environment. Responsibilities include assisting with flight operations, safety, airspace coordination, and customer support.

Bachelor’s Degree in management or aerospace is preferred; a management degree in aviation plus 2–3 years of UAS experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary range is $4,591–$7,461/month DOE plus excellent benefits.
