Job Summary
This role represents the pastors’ office by providing strategic leadership and pastoral presence in Family Life Ministry (FLM), overseeing programs such as Marriage Preparation, Marriage Enrichment, Marriage Mentoring, Faith Driven Parenting, Cradle Roll, and Church Camp. You will collaborate across ministries to align FLM initiatives with the church’s vision and mission.
Responsibilities- Lead regular, purposeful conversations with key ministry leaders to provide pastoral care and collaboratively shape FLM’s strategic direction
- Oversee the development and execution of ministry programs, ensuring alignment with FLM’s vision and mission
- Recruit, develop, and mentor current and future leaders within the ministry to build sustainable leadership capacity
- Evaluate the effectiveness of FLM programs and classes, implementing improvements to enhance participant outcomes
- Deliver teaching sessions as needed to support program objectives and participant engagement
- Manage and provide leadership to FLM administrative staff, ensuring clear processes and adherence to timelines
- Coordinate registrations for classes, talks, and church camps, ensuring smooth participant onboarding
- Oversee communications including advertisements, announcements, and vetting of minutes and articles for accuracy and alignment
- Collaborate effectively with other Wesley ministries, including Next Gen ministries, to engage parents of children, tweens, and youth
- Conduct Infant/Child/Special Baptism Preparation (ICSBP) sessions to prepare candidates and families
- Participate in key events organized by Focus on the Family Singapore to stay connected with broader family ministry initiatives
- Initiate and support future collaborative projects that enhance FLM’s impact within the church community
- Bachelor of Divinity (BD) or Master of Divinity (MDiv)
- Accreditation and training in Prepare & Enrich (Marriage assessment tool)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups to achieve ministry goals
- Consultative leadership skills to influence and implement change through dialogue and partnership
- Familiarity with FLM course materials and content to ensure program integrity and relevance
