Overview

Personal Assistant(s) Required – Penarth. I am seeking kind, reliable, and patient Personal Assistant(s) to support me in my home and, when possible, out in the community.

Hours:

7 hours per week. Support required daily, Monday to Sunday. I am happy to consider more than one PA to cover these hours. You will be required to provide cover for other PAs during holidays or sickness.
Rate of Pay: £14.35 per hour.

• Personal care and hygiene support
• Applying prescribed creams
• Cleaning the commode
• Meal and drink support
• Social stimulation and companionship (at home and possibly in the community)
• Emotional support when I am struggling
• Assistance with putting shopping deliveries away
• Light domestic duties (laundry management, cleaning, putting bins out)
• Any other practical tasks as time allows
• Ensuring my safety at all times

• Experienced in, or knowledgeable about, my medical conditions
• Sensitive, patient, and understanding
• Clear, well-spoken, and a good listener
• Gentle, calm, and sympathetic
• Comfortable working in a home with a dog
• Female applicants only, due to the personal care requirements of the role

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check – which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
