We are seeking a hands‑on and results‑driven Maintenance & Utilities Senior Engineer to lead and manage all plant maintenance and critical utility operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of all production and utility systems to support uninterrupted plant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage all plant maintenance activities covering major utility systems and production equipment, including:
- Boiler and steam generation systems
- Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP)- Odour control systems with chemical scrubbers
- Reverse Osmosis (RO) water systems
- Chillers, cooling towers and chilled water circulation
- Air compressors and nitrogen distribution systems
- Production equipment such as spray dryers, powder blenders, liquid mixers, and process tanks
- Develop, implement, and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure operational reliability.
- Monitor equipment performance through inspections and system checks, identify early signs of failure, and initiate timely repairs or coordinate with external vendors when required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records including service reports, calibration documentation, utility logs, Work Instructions (WI), and Risk Assessments (RA) to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
- Support budget planning and cost control by assisting in the preparation and management of annual maintenance and utilities budgets.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise Maintenance and Utilities Technicians, providing technical guidance and on‑the‑job training.
- Work closely with plant management and production teams to prioritise maintenance activities, improve system efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all maintenance work adheres to safety standards, environmental regulations, and company operating procedures.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in plant utilities, equipment maintenance, and calibration within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands‑on experience in both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Solid understanding of calibration standards and practices for production and utility equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong initiative and accountability.
- Proven leadership experience managing and guiding technical teams.
- Strong planning, organisation, and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical and operational reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
