Position: Accounts cum Admin Executive

Accounts cum Admin Executive

Cathay Petroleum International, a Singapore-based crude oil trading company seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounts cum Admin Executive to support our finance and office operations. This role covers accounting and shares administrative responsibilities with the receptionist to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting (Primary Scope)
  • Handle day-to-day accounting functions including AP, AR, GL and bank reconciliations.
  • Support month-end closing and preparation of management accounts.
  • Prepare accounting schedules and supporting documents for audit and tax filings.
  • Assist with intercompany transactions, trade-related accounting entries and payment processing.
  • Maintain proper accounting records, documentation and internal controls.
  • Support ad-hoc finance reporting and process improvements.
Administration & Office Support (Shared)
  • Share responsibility for office administration and front-of-house support with the receptionist.
  • Assist with vendor coordination, office supplies, facilities matters and service providers.
  • Support travel arrangements, logistics and corporate events when required.
  • Act as backup for receptionist duties during leave or peak periods.
  • Assist with staff expense claims and corporate card reconciliations.
  • Support joiner / leaver administrative processes and internal coordination.
  • Maintain proper filing and internal trackers.
  • Any ad-hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end closing.
  • Detail-oriented, organised and able to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Able to handle high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable with a hands-on accounting role combined with shared administrative duties.
  • Strong communications skills in both English and Mandarin (both verbal and written).
  • Experience in trading, commodities, oil & gas or similar industries is an advantage.
