Intake Coordinator - Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity - 3pm to 11pm, 32hrs/week

This is a full time, 32 hour per week, evening shift (3-11pm) position. This position requires working every other weekend.

Pembroke Hospital is a 120-bed acute care, inpatient behavioral health facility located south of Boston, in Pembroke, MA. Situated on 26 acres, we offer inpatient and partial hospitalization treatment to teens, adults and older adults, and our services are designed to assess, stabilize, and treat patients by addressing their primary symptoms and problems. • Complete the intake call sheet on all referrals including for inpatient as appropriate for the position. Gather all necessary demographic, clinical and financial information on call sheet. Ensures information is accurate and complete as call sheet is transmitted to hospital clinical and business office staff. Request evaluation from ESP/ED/Referrer as appropriate. Assist Intake Coordinators when requested in interpretation of lab values, and diagnostic testing within Pembroke guidelines in order to facilitate appropriate referrals to facilities.
  
  Review for first call acceptance of appropriate patients based on Pembroke protocols
• In a timely manner, notify the units of pending admissions. Send completed call sheets and insurance verification/authorization to Hospital Unit, Utilization Review and Business office
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date bed availability including update hospital staff of pending admissions or cancellations. Update external bedboard on regular basis
• Adhere to department procedures related to waitlisted patients, transferring cases. Contact the CEO when a review is necessary or patient delayed
• Perform other duties as assigned/required by this position

• MA RN License
• One (1) or more years of experience working in hospital intake/admissions and/or behavioral health nursing.
