Do you currently hold or are working towards a Specialist Practitioner Qualification in District Nursing?
Have you considered a move to Community Nursing but have not completed the required Specialist Practitioner Qualification?
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Community Nursing Team based in Pembroke Dock, supporting the Team Leader in providing professional and clinical leadership to the Community Nursing Team. While desirable,this post does not require completion of an SPQ,however post registration development and experienceareessential.
Main duties of the jobSupporting and working alongside the Team Leader you will work as part of the MDT to support the delivery of safe, effective, quality care, providing clinical leadership on a daily basis whilst managing a caseload of patients.
You will provide professional leadership,guidance and role modelling, supporting the development and well-being of staff and students.
You will support the delivery of safe care through promoting and monitoring standards of care, audit and investigation of patient safety incidents and complaints.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;
English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification Qualifications and knowledge- Registered Nurse (Part
1) - Current NMC Registration
- Pertinent postgraduate diploma (or equivalent development/experience and a willingness to undertake appropriate post graduate diploma level study)
- Assessor/Mentorship preparation or equivalent
- Able to demonstrate sound knowledge of NMC Code (2015)
- Recognised management qualification
- Community Nurse Prescriber
- Experience of running a ward/area/department
- Experience of working in a multiprofessional environment
- Supervisory management skills
- Experience of formal /informal teaching and of mentoring preregistration nursing or midwifery students
- Understanding of wider nursing and health care related agenda
- Supervisory management skills
- Able to relate theory into practice through reflective skills
- Experience of coordinating a team
- Experience of facilitating learning in and from practice
- Previous experience of leadership and management
- Awareness of current issues in nursing and specialty
