Overview
My client is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer (Civil Setting Out) to join their team on a contract basis supporting works on a National Grid project. This role requires a highly competent engineer with strong surveying and civil engineering experience, capable of supporting site teams and ensuring technical accuracy throughout project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out civil setting out including line and level using a variety of surveying equipment.
Support the civil site team with constructability reviews and identify potential improvements or issues.
Raise and manage Technical Queries (TQs) as required.
Act as Document Controller for all civil drawings and related documentation.
Assist the civil site team with obtaining quotations and raising purchase orders.
Produce and maintain accurate as-built drawings.
Ensure all works comply with National Grid Technical Specifications (NGTS) and project standards.

Essential Requirements

Proven experience as a Civil Setting Out / Resident Engineer.
Must be able to set out line and level using various surveying equipment.
National Grid Persons certification (NG Persons) is required.
Previous experience working on a National Grid site.
Strong knowledge of National Grid Technical Specifications (NGTS).
Ability to manage civil documentation and drawings effectively.

Additional experience across multiple National Grid projects.
