Jobsummary
As a Maintenance Planner you will schedule and plan maintenance work, estimate costs, and ensure efficient use of resources across the Alpine facility. You will develop, coordinate, and optimise preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance plans to support safe, reliable and efficient operations.
Reporting to the Director, Facility Management, you will work cross‑functionally with Engineering, HSE, Quality, Procurement and Finance to align maintenance plans with operational, safety, compliance and quality standards.
You will maximise CMMS effectiveness, reduce downtime, manage contractors and coordinate external services. You will also lead purchasing coordination, supplier performance and cost planning.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop detailed maintenance job plans, including scope, labour, tools, parts, safety requirements and estimated durations.
- Coordinate and schedule daily, weekly and long‑range maintenance activities.
- Review and prioritise work requests, allocate work orders and align schedules with production needs.
- Communicate equipment availability, downtime and real‑time delays to stakeholders.
- Maintain and continuously improve PM and predictive maintenance programmes.
- Track PM compliance and support equipment reliability strategies.
- Perform reliability analysis and support RCFA, recommending corrective and preventive improvements.
- Support site engineering initiatives such as PERTS and reliability projects.
- Administer CMMS data integrity for assets, job plans and maintenance history.
- Update CMMS with labour, parts and contractor costs and completion details.
- Generate performance reports and support KPI tracking.
- Utilise CMMS, ERP, Isolocity and other platforms.
- Identify required spare parts, special tools and materials.
- Coordinate procurement of consumables, services and spare parts.
- Monitor critical spare part inventory levels.
- Support inventory management, asset tracking and warehouse organisation.
- Manage vendor relationships and contractor performance.
- Receive and match invoices, resolving discrepancies.
- Facilitate communication with Engineering, HSE, Quality, Production and Finance.
- Provide central information on maintenance work, equipment status and repair history.
- Optimise manufacturing and maintenance schedules to balance capacity, materials and manpower.
- Assist the floor maintenance team with tools and technical coordination.
- Ensure planned work aligns with safety procedures, GMP and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare job packages, permits, procedures and safety documentation.
- Support inspections and regulatory compliance activities.
- Assist with audit documentation and evidence gathering.
- Estimate maintenance costs and support spend forecasting.
- Share planning and cost data with Finance and operational leaders.
- Provide financial insights for production planning aligned with sales volume.
- Perform cost‑benefit analyses for maintenance strategies and process improvements.
- Analyse data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support KPI development and performance tracking.
- Update and optimise job plans, procedures and processes.
- Strong understanding of facility systems, equipment and building infrastructure.
- Solid knowledge of maintenance planning, asset management, inventory control and reliability principles in a manufacturing environment.
