Position: Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R.) or LMRT)

Overview

Job title: Radiologic Technologist or Limited Radiologic Technologist

Location: Newton and/or Grinnell, Iowa

Status: Full-Time or PRN

Pay: $30-$35 an hour + a bonus up to 10%

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic examinations following departmental protocols and physician instructions.
  • Prepare and position patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring privacy, comfort, and proper shielding.
  • Operate radiologic equipment safely, adjusting technical factors and positioning as needed to obtain optimal images.
  • Accurately document and maintain patient records in the radiology information system and/or EMR.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, providers, nurses, and other team members to support coordinated, efficient care.
  • Provide timely follow up regarding lab and x-ray results.
  • Assist with patient check-in/out procedures when necessary.
  • Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs and weight, take brief history, past medical, family and social history, current medications, allergies, and other pertinent information as appropriate.
  • Administer any medication as ordered by the provider and within licensure/certification.
  • Laboratory duties: perform CLIA-waived lab tests, draw blood and collect/label specimens for send-out labs; perform DOT and Non-DOT urine drug screens and Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT).
  • Ensure that equipment is in proper working order and report malfunctions to the Center Manager or designee on duty.
  • Adhere to infection control/safety guidelines and patient confidentiality policies.
  • Phlebotomy, injections, medical procedures and laboratory procedures appropriate for the level of training under the direction of a clinician.
  • Operate with honesty and integrity in all business transactions, including employment applications/resumes, patient records, time records, and financial transactions.
  • Follow all regulatory, accreditation, and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Quick Visit is willing to provide some on-the-job training for clinical responsibilities listed above.
Education
  • Graduate of an approved two-year Radiologic Technology program or LMRT program
  • High School graduate or equivalent
Special Skills And Requirements
  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or be registry eligible and possess a current Iowa license.
  • BLS
  • Mandatory Reporter for Dependent Adult and Child Abuse
  • Interact with clients and team members in an autonomous, responsible, professional, and ethical manner.
  • Produce very high-quality imaging with little supervision.
  • Function effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Be flexible, reliable and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds and assist with patient maneuvering.
  • Demonstrate competency in all applicable areas.
