The store support generalist is responsible for supporting the daily function of the store, with a broad set of responsibilities that include administrative, sales, inventory support, and operational duties, all designed to keep the store functioning. The role serves to support our business in a variety of areas to keep us operating safely and efficiently, while always ensuring a best‑in‑class positive customer experience.
Accountabilities
- Customer Focus:
Actively support and drive an excellent customer service. - Operations:
Assist the store in adherence to processes and control standards. - Oversite:
Assist with store open and close or monitoring of the store for short periods of time.
- Sales Support:
Greet and assist customers with a friendly and courteous demeanor. Process customer transactions, answer inbound calls, and assist with customers inside and on our sales lot as needed. - Administrative:
Process transactional data. Assist customers and store teammates processing financing applications. Make bank deposits, deliver/pickup at local tax/title office and other business errands for the store. - Support inventory management by receiving product, documenting discrepancies, and updating the Yard‑Sheets. Help to keep store and inventory in an orderly fashion, creating a positive customer experience.
- Assist with the overall continuity of paperwork for Sales and Service Departments.
- Lot Assistance:
Assemble trailers, park and move trailers, prepare trailers for delivery, help customers hook up trailers, receive trailers, and maintain lot to company standards. Operate forklift and unload stacked trailer deliveries, trailer inspections and minor repairs (lights, grease hubs) and support opening and closing of store as directed.
- Comfortable operating in retail environment.
- Possess a reliable personal vehicle.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to perform simple repairs and basic assembly of trailers (i.e., replacement of lights, mounting of wheels and fenders).
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Ability to move trailers using a tractor.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Basic computer skills, ability to perform data entry and navigate retail/inventory system.
- Friendly, team player and customer service oriented.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum 1‑2 years relevant work experience.
- Valid Driver’s License.
