Critical Care Nurse in Pelham, AL

Provide specialized critical care nursing in a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit supporting medical, neuro, and surgical patients.

This role offers a night shift schedule in a dynamic environment utilizing advanced ICU equipment such as ventilators, arterial lines, and central venous lines. Practice nursing with a focus on neuro-intensive care patients while collaborating closely with your team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in the ICU setting with a focus on medical, neuro, and surgical cases
• Manage critical care equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, and central venous lines
• Accurately document care and patient responses using Cerner EMR
• Maintain patient ratios between 1:1 and 1:3 ensuring attentive and responsive care
• Float to other units as needed to support hospital operations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure
• Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience, neuro ICU preferred
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficient with ICU equipment and patient management
• Comfortable working night shifts (1830 - 0700) with every other weekend schedule

Additional Information:

• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Scrubs mandatory, navy scrub color required
• Contract role offering flexibility and potential for extension
