Schedule:
Monday–Friday
Compensation: $90,000 – $119,600 annually
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controls Engineer to design, implement, and support industrial control systems that drive efficiency, reliability, and performance across manufacturing operations. What You’ll Do:- Design and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for industrial automation
- Evaluate existing processes and develop strategies to improve performance and reliability
- Analyze system and process data to identify optimization opportunities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems, instrumentation, and electrical components
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support operational goals
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
- Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations, updates, and procedures
- Support system installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in controls engineering or industrial automation
- Hands‑on experience with PLC programming, SCADA, and HMI systems
- Strong understanding of control theory including PID, DCS, and process control systems
- Knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control panel design
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Function Block, or Structured Text
- Master’s degree in Control Engineering or related field
- Experience with advanced control techniques such as Model Predictive Control (MPC)
- Knowledge of ISA, IEC, or other relevant industry standards
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Familiarity with data analytics or machine learning applications in automation
- Experience with control platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or ABB
- Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or similar
- Understanding of communication protocols including Modbus, OPC, and Ethernet/IP
- Ability to use CAD software for control system layouts and panel design
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Willingness to travel for system installations or troubleshooting as needed
- Availability for occasional on‑call support
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
