* Job Description:

**** Summary
* * Illinois Central College is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Adjunct Faculty in the Business, Legal & Information Systems Department. This position is a unique opportunity as ICC partners with FCI (Federal Correctional Institute) Pekin to provide educational opportunities to inmates. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction within the FCI (Federal Correctional Institute) Pekin. The successful applicant must be available for late afternoon and evening classes and be willing to attend training within the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Secondary teaching assignments would be considered at the East Peoria Illinois Central College campus.

Adjunct Faculty are primarily responsible for instructing assigned courses meeting classroom standards. The Adjunct Faculty must follow institutional syllabi.

Additionally, Adjunct Faculty will be required to maintain office hours to best ensure student success. Adjunct Faculty teach on a part time basis up to 12 contact hours per semester.

** Instruct and coordinate courses including lecture and/or lab-based classes ensuring all necessary materials and tools are readily available and that safety standards are met, when appropriate.
* Follow syllabi for assigned courses communicating the expectations and schedule for the classwork.
* Maintain office hours and availability.
* Communicate with students working to ensure student success.
* Collaborate with Faculty and Staff to continuously improve and adapt the student experience to meet the needs of the student, community and institution.
* Knows, understands and acts in accordance with Illinois Central College's Values, by connecting with students, owning the situation, using opportunities to build relationships, going the extra mile, acting promptly and professionally, and remembering to work as a team.
* Perform related duties as required.

** Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Organizational Leadership, Business Education, Human Resources Management, International Business, Business Entrepreneurship OR Associate's degree in Business, Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Organizational Leadership, Business Education, Human Resources Management, International Business, Business Entrepreneurship, and 6,000 hours of related work experience.
