Product Specialist; Roll Covers and Maintenance

We are currently looking for a Product Specialist to support roll maintenance services, roll coverings, and related service agreements, as well as to provide technical expertise to customers and internal teams. You will serve designated Board and Paper mills customers in Indonesia, working in close cooperation with Valmet Mill Team members and global experts.

You will be part of the Valmet Packaging Business Area Services / Roll Services organization within the Asia Pacific area. Your home location will be in Sumatra, Indonesia.

• Provide technical expertise and support for roll services and roll coverings.
• Conduct onsite assessments and present technical solutions to customers.
• Support sales teams with technical knowledge, solution proposals, and customer meetings.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and recommendations related to roll performance and maintenance.
• Collaborate with global experts to identify optimal service and covering solutions.
• Assist in evaluating customer needs, troubleshooting roll-related issues, and proposing corrective actions.
• To support Valmet Mill Sales Managers with the technical content of sales.

• Engineering degree (Master's or Bachelor's considered as an advantage), for example in mechanical, paper engineering or other relevant technical field
• Experience with paper or board making processes, roll maintenance, roll covers, or related technical roles is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with hands‑on technical capability.
• Previous experience in technical support, service business, or maintenance coordination is beneficial.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of your working time.
• Fluent spoken and written Bahasa Indonesia and a good command of English.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn roll technology and its influence on the paper making process.
