They are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team to oversee day-to-day operations on our new residential housing site in the Scottish Borders.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are completed safely, built to the highest quality, on time and within budget. You will be expected to manage site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, liaise with external consultants and be an integral part of the team.
You will be customer facing and an ambassador for the business.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver quality homes you are proud of and clients love
- Plan and manage daily site activities in accordance with the programme and Health & Safety guidelines
- Supervise and manage all site activities
- Coordinate with the design team, local authorities as construction progressed
- Build strong working relationships with our supply chain team, warranty providers and local authorities
- Implement and maintain Health & Safety policies in compliance with CDM Regulations 2015
- Ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials, control of stock of site and close working relationship with the commercial team
- Coordinate site logistics, including site access, deliveries, and waste management
- Manage regular project meetings with the sales and management team
- Their client’s journey is key - active engagement is a must - at client meetings, welcome meetings and handovers - you will be the face of the construction team, demonstrating everything that is excellent about the home you will hand over
- Proactively manage all client aftercare care within our timescales
- A demonstratable leader with great communication skills
- Proven experience delivering residential housing
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Proficient in construction programming and sequencing
- Strong understanding of Scottish Building Regulations and domestic warrant process
- Ability to manage multiple trades and resolve site issues effectively
- Skilled in risk assessment and Health & Safety management
