Overview
Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a VRU Technician in our Pecos, TX office. The VRU (Vapory Recovery Unit) Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of vapory recovery units at Permian Resources. This position is responsible for ensuring that all VRU’s operate efficiently to capture reuse vapors.
General Responsibilities- Responsible for installing VRU systems at all facilities, ensuring all components are properly set up and functioning according to specifications.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and servicing of VRU’s to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
- Diagnose and repair issues with VRU systems promptly to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Continuously monitor VRU performance and operational parameters to ensure efficient vapor recovery and system integrity.
- Ensure all VRU operations comply with relevant environmental regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed on VRU systems.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel involved in VRU operations.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and environmental teams to integrate VRU systems effectively into overall facility operations.
- Ad hoc projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in mechanical or electrical systems preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with specific experience in VRU systems or related equipment.
- Combination of office work and fieldwork at oil and gas facilities, including outdoor settings and potentially hazardous environments.
- May require lifting heavy equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various well sites and facilities as needed.
