This position will report to SVP Technical Field Services and support Water Bridge’s field power operations across produced water infrastructure. The Generator Maintenance Supervisor will play a critical role in coordinating generator unit delivery, commissioning support, and ongoing maintenance execution for a fleet of 300 kW to 2 MW generator units. This individual will be responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective generator performance across multiple sites, supporting uptime requirements for operations.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinating delivery, mobilization, and deployment of generator units to field locations supporting operations.
  • Liaison between various generator vendors and WB operations and engineering.
  • Develop weekly and monthly reports on the health and performance of power systems.
  • Supporting site readiness and commissioning activities, including accessory requirements (cabling, grounding, distribution, fuel connections, electrical monitoring, etc.) and startup validation.
  • Developing and executing preventive maintenance (PM) programs, service intervals, and inspection routines to drive fleet reliability and uptime.
  • Supervising day‑to‑day field maintenance activities including troubleshooting and repairs involving engines, alternators, cooling systems, fuel systems, batteries/starting, sensors, and protective shutdowns.
  • Managing work order execution from identification to closeout, including scope definition, scheduling, manpower allocation, and documentation.
  • Leading and mentoring technicians (internal and/or contractors), ensuring safe work execution, quality repairs, and consistent service reporting.
  • Coordinating planned outages and emergency response support to restore critical power with clear communication on ETAs and operational impact.
  • Managing parts readiness by forecasting and maintaining critical spares, coordinating purchasing, and staging materials for planned work.
  • Partnering with vendors and OEM service providers for specialty repairs, warranty coordination, and service escalations.
  • Facilitate reporting of exhaust for state regulatory needs.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety procedures including LOTO, electrical safe work practices, and JSA expectations.
  • Maintaining service records and fleet documentation, including PM completion logs, failure tracking, parts usage, and root cause notes.
  • Supporting fleet performance reporting and continuous improvement efforts led by Reliability Engineer focused on uptime, PM compliance, repeat failure reduction, and MTBF.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required (technical school or associate degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting commercial/industrial generator systems, preferably in the 300 kW–2 MW range.
  • 2+ years of experience as a supervisor/lead technician/service coordinator in field maintenance operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Preventive maintenance planning and execution
    • Engine and alternator diagnostics
    • Generator controls and protective shutdown systems
    • Electrical troubleshooting (AC/DC fundamentals, sensors, wiring, breakers, power distribution)
    • Reading electrical one-lines, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Ability to coordinate priorities across multiple field sites and manage changing operational demands.
  • Strong documentation habits and ability to use CMMS/work order tools (or willingness to learn).
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in field conditions and respond to emergency service needs, including after‑hours/on‑call as required.
Preferred Skills
  • OEM training/certifications (Cummins, CAT, Generac, MTU, Kohler, etc.).
  • Experience with ATS/switch gear, power distribution panels, and breaker coordination.
  • Familiarity with multi-unit power configurations such as paralleling, load sharing, and load banking.
  • Electrical safety training (NFPA 70E concepts), strong LOTO discipline, and demonstrated safety leadership.
  • Experience leveraging remote monitoring/SCADA insights to improve reliability and response time.
