Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD is seeking an experienced and visionary instructional leader to serve as our next Chief Academic Officer. This is one of the most critical leadership roles in our district — one that will shape the academic direction of PBTISD and directly impact the success of every student we serve.

Description/Notes: Reporting directly to the Superintendent, the CAO is responsible for the strategic leadership of all curriculum, instruction, and academic programming across the district. This leader will drive a student-centered, results-oriented culture, oversee the supervision and development of campus principals, and serve as a key member of the district's executive leadership team. From data-driven decision-making to community engagement, the CAO is the academic heartbeat of our district.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of how effective schools operate, a proven track record of improving student achievement, and the leadership presence to inspire and develop those around them. You should be someone who is equally comfortable analyzing assessment data, mentoring a developing principal, and presenting to the Board of Trustees. Required qualifications include a Master's degree in education administration, Mid-Management or Principal certification, T-PESS certification, AEL or ILD certification, and a minimum of five years of successful administrative experience at the campus or district level.

Superintendent's certification is preferred.

Salary Range: Salary range: $ (min) - $ (mid)
