2026 Summer Internship Program

- Start Date:
May 26th, 2026 - End Date:
August 7th, 2026 - Must work between 320 and 400 hours within the eleven-week timespan
- Schedule mutually agreed to with supervisor (flexible working hours/multiple shifts)
- Temporary/seasonal hourly rate: $13.50 (NEW HIRE RATE FOR 2026)
- Opportunity to gain work experience in local government
The Internship Program provides an opportunity for high school and college students (16+) the opportunity to work with a rapidly growing municipal government that places high value on education and advancement. A successful internship will provide you with work experience in local government and may even give you an idea of a career path you did not know was an option to you.

NOTE:
A position listed above may choose not to accept an intern during this internship cycle.
Education Requirements:
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have excellent problem solving & teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work and interact in a professional manner with the city council, staff, and members of the public.
- Must have strong analytical and computer skills, position dependent.
- Must have strong organizational skills and attention of detail.
- Must be able to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship by any employer.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited high school, college, university, vocational, trade, or other type of school when the application is submitted.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from your primary working location.
