We are seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to join our supportive team at a specialist school in Peckham, working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The Role

As a Midday Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring pupils have a safe, calm, and positive lunchtime experience. You will support students during lunch, encourage social interaction, and help with play and structured activities.

Key Responsibilities

Supervising pupils during lunchtime, both indoors and outdoors

Supporting children with additional needs, including communication, behaviour, and personal care where required

Encouraging positive behaviour and social skills

Assisting pupils with eating and mobility as needed

Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times

Working closely with teaching and support staff

About You

Kind, patient, and nurturing with a genuine interest in working with children with SEND

Calm and confident when supporting children with a range of needs

Able to work well as part of a team

Experience working with children or young people (especially SEND) is desirable but not essential

Willingness to undertake safeguarding and relevant training
