- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and support a secure environment.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the retail environment to help deter theft and unauthorized access.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities observed during patrols.
- Collaborate with store management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and support a positive experience for employees and visitors.
- Remain alert to conditions that may create security-related risks and report findings according to site procedures.
- Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms and/or other security-related equipment in accordance with company and site-specific guidelines.
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
