Part-Time

• Provide superior customer service: take orders by phone or in person, answer product questions, assist with selections.
• Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product daily; slice, package, label, and rotate products.
• Scan items on Telxon for production.
• Assist in technical areas as needed.
• Merchandise product effectively and use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs.
• Make regular announcements about freshly-produced items to increase sales.
• Clean and sanitize display cases and maintain equipment.
• Comply with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards and departmental SOPs.
• Assist in specific department tasks as outlined below.

• Aguas
  :
  Peel, cut, and chop fresh fruits and vegetables; prepare specialty drinks and food products.
• Floral
  :
  Design floral arrangements; execute merchandising programs and track seasonal records.
• Market
  :
  Cut, trim, and prepare meat for service counters; ensure proper product rotation and storage; maintain coolers and freezers; weigh, price, and package selections; operate power meat prep equipment.
• Produce
  :
  Stock and rotate produce to ensure freshness; assist floral department; communicate product knowledge; cut, wrap, and price produce; maintain signing program.
• Seafood
  :
  Identify fish and shellfish; weigh, price, and package selections; maintain coolers and freezers.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer systems knowledge (Telxon, ACR, label machine).
• Strong interpersonal skills, reading and writing skills, planning and organizing skills.
• Minimum age 18 (mandatory).
• Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training.

Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs (market) or 50 lbs (seafood), stand, walk, pivot, push/pull, and perform various reach and bend movements as described in the detailed physical demands section.
