Houston Veterinary Urgent Care & Walk-In is a part of the Galaxy Vets family, a new employee centric veterinary healthcare system with a mission to give Veterinary Medicine back to Veterinary Professionals.
Our growing network of DVM’s, RVT’s, CVT’s, LVT’s, VA’s and CSR’s are readily available to help support each other with case discussions, questions, mentorship and training.
The urgent care model provides an engaging caseload, focusing on sick or urgent cases without the daily routine vaccines, spays, neuters and preventative medicine. See more of the cases you love with a flexible schedule!

- Perform physical examinations, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for each individual patient
- Perform surgical intervention as needed
- Transition patients to overnight care as needed and communicate effectively with referral hospitals in order to ensure continuity of patient care
- Document patient medical and surgical records with detail
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited university
- Licensure in good standing to practice in the state where the hospital is located
- Enthusiastic about sharing your knowledge and expertise with other DVMs and team members
- Proven leadership skills and a desire to build long-term relationships
- Commitment to continuous professional and personal improvement for you and your team
