Primary Purpose
To direct and manage the safety and efficiency of the department and vehicle maintenance program.
Education & CertificationBachelor's degree, preferred.
TAPT Certified Official or Administrator, preferred.
Special Knowledge & Skills- Knowledge of scheduling/bus routing
- Ability to manage personnel
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Applicable computer skills
- Three years' experience in transportation supervision preferred
- Experience as a bus driver
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate
Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals.
Posture:
Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
Motion:
Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding, and use of mouse; occasional reaching.
Lifting:
Occasional light lifting and carrying (15-45 pounds).
Environment:
Frequent district wide travel; occasional statewide travel.
Mental Demands:
Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress.
