Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Immigration Court Paralegal to join our team. In this role, you will provide support to our immigration team and assist in Immigration Court Matters and other areas of immigration processes. Requires prior experience with immigration Court (detained and non-detained) in Houston and Texas and beyond! Paralegal must know about various forms of relief, including, Asylum;

42A/B;
Bond, Habeas Corpus and Adjustment of Status (U-Visas, etc) by Judge. This position involves legal research, conducting client interviews, e-filing documents of EOIR portal, and assisting in overall immigration court preparation and other immigration visas and adjustment of status. The ideal candidate is punctual, hardworking and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare case-specific Immigration Court motion and applications
  • E-filing with EOIR and or USCIS, etc
  • Collect and organize documents, including biographical info
  • Ensure that case-related documents are well organized and available for review
  • Conduct legal research and investigation
  • Provide general administrative support
  • Communicate with clients and witnesses
  • Prepare the attorney for court sessions and record important information
  • Maintain and update documentation
  • Assist with case preparation
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an Immigration Paralegal
  • Knowledge of USCIS forms and applications
  • Certification or Associates Degree is a plus
  • Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and the court system
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with document management experience
  • Excellent research skills
  • Comfortable Microsoft Office and case management software
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
