As an H-E-B Pharmacy Tech, you’ll work in a team environment, helping ensure we exceed patient expectations while delivering excellent, accurate, and efficient services.

• Provide superior customer service and uphold service standards
• Promote and embody greeting, inquiry, and thank-you strategies and phone etiquette
• Manage exception stations and resolve third-party issues
• Receive/process prescriptions using RxEVO; verify patient information; input data; process third-party adjudication
• Coordinate Rx screening events, flu shot and immunization scheduling, and future events
• Maintain Rx screener status and participate in screening events
• Assist with pharmacy operations tasks ( recalls, offsite records, stock returns, communications, etc.)
• Order/manage inventory and process invoices daily
• Review Warehouse and DSD orders; check deliveries for accuracy and address discrepancies
• Maintain automated prescription processing equipment (e.g., Kirby Lester, Script Pro) including calibration and upkeep
• Apply computer troubleshooting and prescription application overview
• Process RxIMS reports (count compliance, inventory, overrides)
• Perform other assigned duties as needed

• Perform prescription assembly with approved tools; hand-count controlled medications; measure liquids; verify/label prescriptions by 7-point check
• Ensure privacy/confidentiality of PHI as required by HIPAA; follow proper procedures for patient prescription delivery
• Ensure compliance with Central Fill check-in procedures
• Participate in or support Pharmacy Partner compliance with ORT, 5-S, and Pharmacy Standards Review
• Ensure proper return-to-stock procedures; organize/present pharmacy shelves
• Support facility and office maintenance and upkeep with 5-S compliance

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of pharmacy experience (preferred)
• 1+ years of experience as an active retail Certified Pharmacy Technician
• Active Texas CPhT registration; maintain certification with 20 hours CE every 2 years; recertify 60 days prior to expiration
• Certification as an H-E-B Pharmacy Technician
• RxEVO certification
• Successful completion of required training (e.g., Screener, HIPAA, FWA, M-G, Diversity, orientation modules for Pharm Tech and PCR, etc.)

• Working knowledge of pharmacy-related management tasks and the RxEVO system
• Understanding of H-E-B SOPs
• Advanced communication and telephone etiquette
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Office, Windows, RxEVO, RxIMS, Partner Net, Workforce Manager)
• Mathematical skills for calculating measurements
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay composed in high-stress situations
• Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
• Team-oriented and open to cross-training

• Function in a fast-paced retail environment and work rotating shifts (including nights and weekends)
• Stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours)
• Regularly lift 30 lbs or more
• Repetitive use of arms/hands; dexterity required
• Meet vision requirements (close and color vision)
