Base pay range$53.00/hr - $54.00/hr
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team in the Houston area. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with various conditions affecting their mobility and function. This position offers flexibility with full-time, part-time, permanent, and temporary options available.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate patients’ physical conditions through assessments and examinations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific needs.
- Implement therapeutic interventions using appropriate techniques such as exercise therapy, manual therapy, modalities (e.g., ultrasound), and functional training.
- Monitor patient progress throughout treatments and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment protocols and exercises for home practice.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatments provided, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with legal regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals including physicians, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, nursing staff across multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to remain current on best practices within the field of physical therapy.
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program or equivalent qualification.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Texas (must be obtained prior to employment).
- Previous experience preferred but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written; ability to build rapport with patients quickly.
- Proficient knowledge of rehabilitation principles related to musculoskeletal disorders.
- Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
