Adjunct - High School Equivalency (formerly GED) Instructor (Pool) (Alvin Community College/Pearland)

Adjunct Instructors are hired part‑time on an as‑needed basis. Positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College. Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part‑time basis.

• Reports to the Director of Community Education.
• Teaches High School Equivalency classes using traditional and alternative delivery methods.
• Attend a minimum of 15 clock hours per year of professional development.
• Maintain a minimum of three (3) professional references in the reference section of the application.
• Provide an official transcript documenting the minimum education requirement upon hire; if credentials are from a non‑US granting institution, have them evaluated by a NACES member.

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Exceptional educational qualifications, employment experiences, and/or skills may be given special consideration.

• A Texas Educator’s Certificate or a Teaching Certificate is preferred.

Standing, sitting, walking, carrying, handling, fine dexterity, vision, hearing, and talking.

College benefits do not accrue with this part‑time position.
