Job Summary:

The scope of services for Field Installation Technician includes general labor and facilities support and will be performed on-site at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The ideal candidate shall perform work during standard PHNSY&IMF working hours (0630 - 1500) unless specifically requested and agreed upon 5 days in advance, at a minimum.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

(Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:
• Facilities preventative maintenance, repair, renovation, removal, and disposal
• Tools, inventory management & job tracking
• Waterfront cleanup & disposal of material
• Furniture planning, repair, installation, relocation, removal, & disposal
• Installation of Information Technology (IT) services including CAT-5/CAT-6 cable & IT cabinets
• Hurricane and inclement weather preparation and facilities tie-downs
• Vegetation control & removal
• Minor facilities maintenance work including carpentry, painting, roofing, and welding. Certifications:

• Personnel performing on this effort shall be U.S. citizens
• Personnel are required to successfully obtain and maintain background investigations and clearances (to include periodic reinvestigations)
• 7+ years of experience performing general construction duties or facilities management
• Electrical, carpentry, or other trade skills preferred

Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Possible lifting up to 40 lbs.
