The Contractor shall conduct routine scheduled maintenance, interim (unscheduled) maintenance, field level maintenance, research repair parts, complete requisitions for parts and service items, record data collection (labor time & vehicle service cost) and repairs to Civil Engineering Support Equipment (CESE), Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
Responsibilities (include But Not Limited To):
- Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs based on OEM and NAVFAC P-300 guidance.
- Maintain a 120-day cycle for general maintenance and safety inspections on CESE/MHE.
- Schedule all CESE/MHE for service every 120 days or sooner if high mileage is reached (over 5,000 miles).
- Manage inventory details for each piece of CESE/MHE.
- Coordinate vehicle pickup and return with designated government personnel, operating vehicles only in official duties.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on CESE/MHE, supporting a fluctuating inventory (+/-5%).
- Conduct scheduled maintenance at levels “A”, “B”, and “C” based on mileage/time, including safety inspections, fluid changes, and alignments.
- Act as the primary liaison with the government regarding access, schedules, and GFE use.
- Provide management and oversight for maintenance support at government facilities, supervising 1-15 personnel.
General Requirements:
- Possess skills to repair suspension, steering, electrical, and powertrain systems.
- Capable of repairing vehicle electronics, window mechanisms, locks, seats, and tires.
- Perform welding, sheet metal, and minor body repairs.
- Maintain GSE equipment such as lawn mowers, generators, and hydraulic tools.
Job Specific Knowledge & Requirements:
- Serve as the direct liaison with the government for access and schedules.
- Availability during standard business hours.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Shop Supervisor or equivalent military experience.
- ASE certification in diesel engines and at least two other Heavy Truck categories.
