DescriptionHitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self‑motivated Intern – Operations and Maintenance Training for Summer, 2026. The position is based in Pearl City, HI
.
Contribute to the success of employee training and competency program.
Accountabilities- Contribute to the management of employee training and competency.
- Aid in the organization of training data consisting of tens of thousands of hours distributed among thousands of users.
- Help create and analyze reports on employee training and competency.
- Contribute to training life cycle by participating in phases of the ADDIE model.
- Assist in the creation of computer‑based training, job aids, and training videos.
- Add to the design of virtual and augmented reality‑based training through 3D object and environment construction.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate complex technical information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi‑task.
- Interest in Training Design, Data Analysis, Training Delivery, Graphic Design, Industrial/Operations Processes, and/or Automatic Train Operation among many other areas involved in Skyline operations and maintenance.
- Current student in a technical or business discipline at a 4‑year university with a graduation date between December 2026 and December 2027.
- English Proficiency.

The hourly rate for this position is $22.00/hour.
