OverviewThe Senior Analyst will provide analytical and engineering support to the Commander, Submarine Force U.S. Pacific Fleet (COMSUBPAC) Maintenance and Material Readiness Directorate (N4), specializing in training and oversight of radiological controls for submarine and submarine tender operations and maintenance. The role involves leveraging expertise in submarine nuclear programs, logistics, and maintenance to manage new initiatives, coordinate stakeholders, and drive project completion.
The Senior Analyst will also develop concise, leadership-ready briefs to communicate complex technical issues and progress to senior leadership. This position is based at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, with potential for travel to local, CONUS, and OCONUS locations.
- High School Diploma (or GED) with (a) military training in naval shipboard systems maintenance and operation, or (b) a technical school degree in an engineering field.
- Ten (10) years of experience in the operation, maintenance, testing, and repair of U.S. Navy nuclear-powered warships, including work at the shipboard level, on Squadron, Group, or Type Commander staffs, or at a shipyard.
- Five (5) years of experience in nuclear engineering, radiological controls, and radiological/all-hazard emergency planning.
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a nuclear-capable shipyard or serving aboard U.S. Navy nuclear-powered warships as a Nuclear-trained Division Officer or Leading Chief Petty Officer (LCPO) (E6 or higher).
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering.
