About The Position

We are seeking a Corrosion Engineer III to join our growing Energy team, with the flexibility to work remotely. In this role, you will lead and support multidisciplinary projects across various markets and geographies, serving as a technical resource for AC (Alternating Current) Corrosion and interference studies.

You will apply advanced knowledge of AC corrosion, grounding, and interference mitigation to analyze electrical interactions between pipelines, powerlines, solar farms, wind farms, and other infrastructure. Using CDEGS modeling software, you will perform complex AC interference studies, develop mitigation designs, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects—from scope development and client coordination to technical analysis, reporting, and implementation support. You may also participate in field investigations, commissioning activities, and installation oversight to ensure design integrity and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead AC corrosion and interference studies using CDEGS modeling software.
  • Develop and review mitigation designs for pipelines and related infrastructure.
  • Prepare and review detailed technical reports and client deliverables.
  • Develop field plans and oversee field data collection efforts.

Analyze large and complex datasets to provide clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight.
  • Interface directly with clients, supporting proposals and technical discussions.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary energy projects beyond AC corrosion as needed.
Experience And Qualifications
  • BS in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (MS preferred).
  • 5+ years of relevant corrosion engineering experience, with demonstrated experience in AC interference and mitigation.
  • Proficiency in CDEGS modeling software for AC corrosion studies.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards related to corrosion control and grounding.
  • NACE/AMPP Cathodic Protection certification (CP1, CP2, or higher) preferred.
  • Proven ability to work independently and lead technical efforts.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience preparing client-facing reports.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
