Join to apply for the Senior Staff Consultant - Electrical role at Infinity Systems Engineering.
Electrical Engineering consultant responsible for marketing the company and themselves to obtain a client base and build business. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of small to large-scale client projects for insurance or litigation investigative support to ensure that goals/objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting and directing field investigations of incidents involving electrical issues (fires, equipment malfunctions/misuse, etc.).
- Performing engineering analysis of incidents involving electrical issues.
- Authoring high-quality technical reports.
- Conducting well-developed and well-prepared client presentations.
- Testifying in court or providing depositions if requested by clients.
- Establishing work plans and staffing for each project phase, and assigning project personnel.
- Conferring with project staff to outline work plans and responsibilities.
- Directing and coordinating projects within schedule and budget constraints.
- Providing technical advice and resolving problems with project personnel.
- Seeking technical advice and oversight from experienced consultants when necessary.
- Coordinating internal technical reviews.
- Working with Business Development to identify potential clients and strategies to build the client base.
- Participating in Business Development activities, including client meetings, presentations, and conferences.
- Mentoring early-career employees.
- Developing professionally in skills, experience, and industry reputation.
- Developing client base and book of business.
Education Requirements:
- BS in Electrical Engineering required.
- MS or Ph.D. preferred.
Experience/Knowledge Required:
- 4-7 years of work experience in forensic consulting or industry consulting.
- Authoring high-quality technical reports and/or peer-reviewed publications.
- Preferred experience in consulting industry.
- Ability to interact professionally with clients and develop business.
- Clear and concise communication skills, both oral and written.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- PE License preferred; CFEI or CFI Certification preferred.
Computer Skills:
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional. Experience with Windows OS and intermediate skills in graphics, internet browsers, and database programs.
Physical Demands:
Occasional standing, walking, sitting for long periods, and ladder climbing. Reasonable accommodations available.
