Assistant Controller – Peabody, MA (Hybrid)

A growing professional services organization in Peabody, MA is seeking an Assistant Controller to support financial leadership across multiple service lines. This role offers the opportunity to step into a key leadership function as the company continues to expand organically and through acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Controller in all aspects of month‑end close and consolidated reporting.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Oversee AP, AR, billing, project accounting, and revenue processes.
• Assist with acquisition integration, system updates, and process enhancements.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and delegate work effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting; CPA highly preferred.
• 6–10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Professional services, project‑based accounting, or multi‑entity experience highly valued.
• Strong leadership, systems knowledge, and communication skills.

Work Model

• Hybrid: 2–3 days onsite in Peabody.
