- Examine monthly net asset value reporting packages produced by external fund administration providers and confirm their completeness and accuracy.
- Perform reconciliations of cash balances, holdings, and transaction activity between the fund administrator’s records and the custodian’s statements.
- Review investment valuations and confirm consistency with information received from the general partner and any independent valuation specialists.
- Independently recompute management and performance-based fees to confirm correct calculation.
- Evaluate and authorize fund operating expenses, including both paid items and accrued liabilities.
- Support the preparation and review of financial statements, schedules, and disclosures used in periodic regulatory filings such as quarterly and annual reports submitted to the SEC.
- Coordinate with external auditors and help manage the annual audit cycle from planning through completion.
- Assist with drafting and reviewing event-driven regulatory disclosures, including reports related to capital activity or investor transactions.
- Utilize internal technology platforms to generate and distribute periodic investor reporting materials, including NAV statements and summary performance documents.
- Work with external tax service providers to monitor the preparation and delivery of investor tax documentation.
- Calculate allocation factors when investor redemption requests exceed the available tender amount in periodic liquidity events.
- Help maintain and enhance internal financial reporting controls to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
- Participate in maintaining service organization control documentation related to the fund servicing framework.
- Identify operational efficiencies and propose improvements to processes supporting the fund finance and reporting function.
