This course explores how educators in higher education and professional programs approach curriculum development from an innovative perspective. Curriculum theories, philosophical perspectives in the literature, and current realities in the classroom will be explored. Curriculum challenges with respect to access, quality and funding in higher education will be identified and analyzed, and innovative strategies for addressing these challenges will be generated.

Minimum Qualifications- Doctorate in Higher Education or a related field AND a master’s degree in a professional field other than education (e.g., engineering, library science, law)
- Demonstrated record of scholarship in Higher Education and the subject area of the course
- Practical experience related to the topic of the course
- Successful graduate teaching experience in the subject area of the course and a successful track record of teaching online, preferably using Canvas/Quercus
