OverviewRhode Island Football Club is seeking a dedicated Ticket Service Representative to join our team! You will be responsible for sustaining and increasing client retention, building authentic business relationships with season ticket holders, and providing exceptional service experiences to fans on matchdays. We are searching for a candidate with confidence and grit who is looking to build a career in professional sports.
This position will report to the Director of Ticketing.
- Responsible for the retention of season ticket holders in the defined portfolio of accounts by providing best in class customer service.
- Seek additional revenue opportunities through outreach to current season ticket holders by add-on season ticket sales, seat upgrades, and referrals from the portfolio.
- The candidate will be accountable for consistently achieving or exceeding certain levels of “hustle metrics” (calls, talk time, referrals, appointments).
- The candidate will also be accountable for meeting club determined renewal rate for season ticket accounts assigned to them.
- Build strong relationships with a defined portfolio of accounts (season ticket holders) through proactive communication, including seat/suite visits, phone calls, emails, and other communication channels.
- Focus on an exceptional fan experience on match day and work closely with other departments to ensure consistent communication and one-on-one interactions with fans.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and effectively communicate all team happenings, events, member benefits, and stadium details that are relevant to the defined account portfolio.
- Ensure customer and account data and profile requirements are accurate and complete.
- Support Ticket Sales Account Executives with group sales fulfillment by answering questions pre-event, communication of instructions for match day experiences, etc.
- Represent RIFC at various community events, such as festivals, chamber of commerce, youth sports tournaments, etc.
- Become proficient in the use of Seat Geek ticket platform.
- Become proficient in the use of the Hub Spot CRM system.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
- A bachelor’s degree in sports management, business administration, or a similar field is strongly preferred.
- 1-2 years of sales experience is preferred, with a focus in collegiate, elite, or professional sports sales preferred.
- Possess a strong understanding of customer support, relationship management, upselling, and client retention.
- Must display a strong work ethic and desire to build a career in professional sports.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Desire to be a sports sales industry leader.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Sales experience preferred; sports sales experience a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
- Experience and training in Seat Geek, Microsoft Office, Hub Spot CRM, or other Customer Relations Management systems.
- Role requires availability for all Rhode Island FC home matches and applicable events.
- Frequent evening, weekend, and holiday work required based on event schedules.
- Position is based in Rhode Island with regular in-person presence at the team office and stadium.
