SUMMARY: To obtain information from callers to the agency to gather necessary screening information to direct the caller to the appropriate level of care and to ensure accurate and timely documentation of these contacts into the electronic medical record. • Obtain information from callers to Gateway Healthcare Intake line to determine pay-source information by verifying eligibility and coverage limitations with all insurance companies.
• Engage clients and families appropriately based on age, culture, and psychiatric status.
• Demonstrate knowledge of admission and medical criteria for behavioral health services offered by Gateway and community (IHHCT; PACS, outpatient therapy; Eastman House).
• Coordinate with PES clinicians to make initial appointments, walk‑ins, and emergency evaluations.
• Maintain appointment schedule for PES clinicians including initial evaluations, warm hand‑offs, therapy appointments, and safety evaluations.
• Assist with insurance information, verify current insurance, research as needed; support billing functions.
• Direct callers with current risk factors to a PES clinician to assess safety.
• Attend conferences and trainings as requested.
• Cross‑train other department members as required.
• Update demographic information in the medical record to ensure up‑to‑date data capture.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years verifiable experience in an office environment.

• No professional license required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

$17.00 – $25.31 per hour.
