Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time position for a School Psychologist is available in Providence, RI, with a contract-to-hire opportunity starting ASAP through the end of the school year. This role is based in a school setting, serving one PreK-12 school with a caseload encompassing a wide age range of students.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychological tests and evaluations to assess student needs.
- Participating in IEP, diagnostic, and planning meetings involving parents/caregivers and multidisciplinary staff.
- Interpreting evaluation results and preparing detailed psychological reports for teachers, administrators, and families.
- Collaborating with the educational team to support implementation of each student's IEP.
The position requires Rhode Island Certification as a School Psychologist or eligibility for certification by the date of hire. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is mandatory to support effective communication within the school community. Supervision will be provided by a qualified para educator or related staff as needed.
This full-time assignment includes approximately 37.5 hours per week, offering the opportunity to work closely with students and staff in a supportive environment.
