Locum - Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Join a Premier Cardiothoracic Surgery Team in Atlantic City, NJ!

We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistants to provide urgent, high-quality coverage in a busy inpatient hospital setting. This critical role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside leading surgeons in a dynamic environment, performing essential procedures and delivering exceptional patient care. Required Skills:

Active Physician Assistant license in New Jersey or eligible for licensing.

Prior experience in cardiothoracic surgery, ICU, or acute care settings.

Proficiency in procedures such as chest tube insertions, vascular tissue retrieval, and assisting in cardiac surgeries.

Ability to perform rounding, coordinate care, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, and write prescriptions.

Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to handle diverse clinical responsibilities efficiently.

Nice to Have

Skills:

Experience with Cerner EMR or similar documentation systems.

Advanced procedural skills beyond the core requirements.

Trauma or critical care experience.

Bilingual abilities.

Preferred

Education and Experience:

NCCPA certification as a Physician Assistant.

Minimum of 2 years experience in cardiothoracic or surgical care.

Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Other Requirements:

Willingness to work varied shifts including weekdays, weekends, and nights.

Availability to start by February 2, 2026.

No need for additional licensing assistance.

Ability to complete credentialing within approximately 60 days.

Willingness to participate in on-call duties, including night and weekend coverage.
