Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) - Needed in Passaic County
Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare (NPBHC) has immediate openings for licensed therapists in Northern New Jersey to provide in‑home and center‑based weekly therapeutic services for youth with mental health disorders.
Pay Range
: $45.00/hr – $75.00/hr
- Providing individual in‑home therapy, group therapy sessions, telehealth therapy, and outpatient center sessions.
- Performing bio‑psycho‑social assessments.
- Providing coping and social skills, anger management, and reducing risk behaviors such as self‑injurious behavior or physical aggression.
- Improving youth and caretaker decision‑making skills to manage in‑home behavioral challenges.
- Collaborating effectively and consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals.
- Submitting all required documentation and paperwork within designated time frames (intake, treatment plan, DAP notes, etc.).
- Attending monthly meetings and submitting mandatory clinical documentation.
- Being able to complete or training for Bio‑Psycho‑Social assessments.
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as LSW, LAC, or LFT.
- Clinical mental health trauma counseling training.
- Training or willingness to complete crisis intervention training.
- Post‑internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders.
- Experience creating treatment plans, setting treatment goals, writing progress notes, and conducting initial assessments.
- Experience with CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and trauma response approaches.
- Knowledge of DSM‑V for assessments and diagnosis.
- Availability for a minimum of 6–10 hours per week during after‑school hours of 12 noon through 8 pm; weekend flexibility is a plus.
- Experience providing positive behavior supports.
- Prior experience working with children ages 3–20; experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and registered vehicle.
- Pass criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting.
- Resume with copies of master’s degree and NJ or applicable certification or license.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
- Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC)
- Licensed Family Therapist (LFT)
State reciprocity is considered, but candidates must be within a 25–30 minute commute of the designated service areas and have a license registered with the NJ Marriage & Family Therapy Board (e.g., PA, NY, & NJ).
Compensation$45.00/hr – $75.00/hr
