Business Controller

ABB is seeking a Business Controller to support our Installation Products business at our Hackettstown, NJ facility. This role reports to the Senior Business Controller and partners closely with Operations leadership across the US/LATAM region.

Role Overview

The Business Controller serves as a strategic finance partner, leading local Controlling activities and supporting effective business decision-making through financial analysis, forecasting, and performance management. This role is critical to optimizing financial performance, cost structure, cash flow, and capital efficiency within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business and operations leaders to align local strategy with Division objectives
• Lead business planning, forecasting, and performance analysis
• Provide financial insight to support operational and strategic decisions
• Drive cost optimization, productivity improvements, and Net Working Capital performance
• Ensure effective financial governance and collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Lead and develop local Controlling resources in alignment with ABB and HR policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (Master’s preferred)
• 10+ years of relevant finance experience, including 3+ years in a senior Plant or Operations Finance role
• Prior experience in manufacturing, plant, or distribution center finance strongly preferred
• Authorization to work in the U.S. required
