I’m currently partnering with a well-established P&C insurance organization seeking a Senior Accountant with strong SEC reporting experience. This role will be based hybrid (2 days in) from Short Hills, NJ.
This role sits within a high-performing finance team and will play a key part in quarterly and annual reporting, financial close, and technical accounting analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation and coordination of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K)
- Monthly close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Analytical review of financial statements during close
- Balance sheet oversight and complex account analysis
- Support of external audit and budgeting processes
- Ensuring compliance with GAAP, SAP, and regulatory requirements
- 5+ years of financial accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (SAP exposure a plus)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA preferred (required for long-term progression)
