Position: Preschool Lead Teacher - Full Time

Location: Tiny Steps Learning Center, Paterson, NJ

Tiny Steps Learning Center is expanding and seeking passionate Preschool Lead Teachers to join our team. We provide a welcoming, safe, and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Position Overview: The Lead Teacher will educate and care for children ages 3 to 5, teaching reading, writing, science, and other subjects in an age-appropriate manner.

• Physical caregiving and developmental assessments.
• Following the curricular plan.
• Building supportive relationships with staff, parents, and students.
• Ensure children’s safety and well-being.
• Implement curriculum with creativity and innovation.
• Serve as a positive role model.
• Prepare children for kindergarten.
• Foster social and emotional development.
• Maintain a clean and nurturing environment.
• Collaborate with Assistant Teachers and delegate tasks.
• Create engaging lesson plans and track progress.
• Uphold Tiny Steps’ values and comply with childcare laws.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with preschool children in a daycare setting.
• Associate Degree in Education, BA in ECE or current CDA certification (Preferred).
• Strong understanding of child development and preschool educational methods.
• Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Able to lift up to 45+ pounds multiple times per day.
• Willingness to submit to background checks.
• CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Available to work full-time, including as late as 5:30 pm (Depending on the work shift assigned).
• Bilingual English & Spanish preferred.
