- Engage learners in differentiated learning experiences for a range of skills and developmental needs found in the classroom, managing, when appropriate, multiple instructional activities simultaneously.
- Ability to provide intervention instruction to at-risk students.
- Must be able to work the entire length of the program.
- Must be a critical thinker and problem solver and respect others.
- Must complete all tasks assigned for a successful program.
- All postings are open for ten (10) consecutive days following the date or until filled
- Hold a New Jersey Reading Specialist Certificate in accordance with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:27.1 et seq., and N.J.A.C. Title 6 Chapter 11 with appropriate subject area endorsement(s) for the position held (N.J.A.C. 6:11-6.1, 6.2, or 8.1 et seq.).
- Have excellent experience in teaching and working with students in all grade levels.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.
- Mastery of pedagogy, knows how to teach students how to read.
- Model a growth mindset about new teaching and learning techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character.
- Possess the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning.
- Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
- Pending budget availability.
